About Fairtrade

The FAIRTRADE Mark is an independent guarantee that the Fairtrade ingredients in a product which carries it have been certified in accordance with international Fairtrade standards.
The purchase of Fairtrade products enables the improvement of working and living conditions of producers in developing countries, and encourages environmental protection. Fairtrade certified beauty products first became available in June 2009. For more information on Fairtrade, visit www.fairtrade.org.uk
Bubble & Balm's Fairtrade sugar is produced by the Kasinthula Cane Growers in Malawi, one of the poorest countries in Southern Africa. The additional income earned from the Fairtrade premium has enabled, for example, the provision of clean water to three villages, meaning villagers no longer have to draw water from the crocodile and disease infested Shire River. The percentage of Fairtrade ingredients in Bubble & Balm's products far exceeds the minimums laid down for certification by the Fairtrade Foundation.
Bubble & Balm's commitment to trading fairly extends across its entire supply chain, including packaging and manufacturing policies, which are outside the scope of Fairtrade certification.
